LEARNING
Exercise science
Learning how training, recovery and movement shape the body’s adaptation to exercise.
MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING / MONASH UNIVERSITY
I'm Jerry Sun. I work on propulsion hardware and robotic composite manufacturing, combining engineering analysis with hands-on development.
01 / SELECTED WORK
PROJECT 001 / PROTOTYPEMONASH HIGH POWERED ROCKETRY / RACE2SPACE
Composite combustion chamber
A lightweight pressure-vessel design for a hybrid rocket engine. A case study in composite manufacture, structural analysis and learning from a hot-fire failure.
My scope includes the pre- and post-chambers, fuel grain, liner, pressure wall, fuel inserts and structural interface, from requirements and CAD to integration and test lessons.

Explore the ongoing project02 / ABOUT ME
I'm a Mechatronics Engineering (Honours) student at Monash University with a particular interest in propulsion, fluid systems and robotics.
Through Monash High Powered Rocketry, I've worked on hardware intended for real testing. My research in automated fibre placement also explores the practical challenges of manufacturing composites with a six-axis robot.
I enjoy working through the details that connect a design to its manufactured part, and using test evidence to understand what to improve.
03 / PERSONAL INTERESTS
I make time for exploring new places, staying active and music.
Different landscapes, new experiences and time outside.
